Arts on the Arch

The Frontenac Arch landscape has long inspired many forms of creative arts. Traditional crafts including glassworks and iron forging were established very early in the region. Today the area is enriched by the work of hundreds of artists – people who paint the rugged shield scenery, song writers, people who spin tales about our history, people who are pursuing the full array of artistic endeavours to help build the future of the region. Whether you want to hear local singer-songwriters, see a blacksmith at work, or buy the perfect piece of regional art to hang in your home, you can find it all in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere region.

The Arts on the Arch Guide will help you to learn more about artists and arts activities in the region. You may use the link to the left to see the map and to explore the location of our participating artists, and arts-related businesses and venues. You may also view profiles of the artists listed in the guide. You may also read the profiles of the galleries and other arts-related organizations featured in the guide. Arts on the Arch is a project of “FAB Arts” - a committee of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network. FAB Arts members are working to help to make the Frontenac Arch Biosphere a premier arts destination for visitors and to nurture the expansion of the creative economy within the Frontenac Arch Biosphere region. Members of FAB Arts are proud of their connection to this unique place in the landscape and are committed to sustainable practices in their artistic endeavours.
