Cycle the Arch

Cycling in the Frontenac Arch Biosphere

Exploring the Arch by bicycle is an ideal way to experience the diversity of terrain spanning three different geological times; to see the richness of biodiversity in wetlands, forests and fields; to marvel at the heritage in the region; and to savour local flavours along the way.

While every public road is a potential cycling route, Cycle The Arch is your insight to local knowledge for routes to both transit the region, and to plan loops and trips that suit your ability and ambition. Consider stringing some of these together for multiple days’ visits.

Along the way, take some time to explore the history of the towns and villages, and the views from the many vantage points. You may also want to view the site’s pages for Heritage Walking Tours, and for Hiking – to give you even more to explore.

As this site develops, it will add supplies and services as well as food and art experiences along the way.

Ride with care – line-of-site is sometimes limited in this hilly countryside.
