Cycle Transit Routes

These routes are key through-routes of interest to cycle-tourists on major journeys passing through the Frontenac Arch Biosphere area. Typical routes include the Ontario Waterfront Trail and the Rideau Heritage Route between Kingston and Ottawa.

These few key routes are chosen so that cycle-tourists may arrive or continue on well-established touring routes. While segments of the transit routes in the Biosphere region are known and updated as road projects provide alternatives, destination segments into, for instance, Ottawa are quite dependent on local construction projects.  Cyclists are advised to seek local knowledge for those routes extending well outside the Biosphere region.
